Week 37: The Silk Radical (糸 (糹)) and More!

At the end of Week 37 we have learned 777 kanji!!! 7 is a lucky number in America, but not so much in Japan. This week we had 9 kanji with the silk radical (also referred to as the thread radical) and we saw it used for all kinds of different words. The thread radical is very important to joyo kanji as it is used in 63 of them!!!

Tomorrow week we will be posting a full review of all 214 KangXi radicals to help you remember all their different forms, and learn how to identify which part of the kanji is the radical. Of course, with Japanese, you know there will be more exceptions than rules involved!
