Pro Spanish, French, Portuguese, Catalan, Galician and Japanese to English translator. N2 rated in 2018, took a couple of years off but am back on here again as the first step towards getting N1 rated.
Just wanted to let you know, we've got the manga now loaded properly on I Love Zero-Calorie Food lesson. We apologize for that. We're also having Aki look at the lesson, "I visited my grandfather" to see about improving it.
Wow! Wooooooow! Job well done on rising to the top! The entire Nihongo Master staff is cheering for you!
Well done on rising to the very top. You are now the no1 member.
Funny you say that, because I actually watched Shirokuma cafe not too long ago and I found the language to be easier in than it would be in other anime. Anyway, that sounds like some solid advice. I like reading manga a lot and don't mind if it's a slice of life or not too serious, so this is 2 birds in one stone. I'll try giving it a go sometime soon then! Thanks so much for answering, it's really appreciated and very helpful.
Thanks a lot for the in-depth answer! I noticed that watching anime is not too helpful to build more on vocabulary too, but it's great when you can understand a full scene (for me at least since I still don't know a lot). I haven't tried reading any manga in Japanese yet, but I plan to once I feel like my Japanese got good enough for that. I also always make sure to immediately look up words that I might've forgotten/new to me (even back when I was learning English as it's not my first language), but adding them to study lists seems like a really good idea. For now I'll focus on clearing all the lessons, but in the future I plan to do things like that :) Thanks again for answering!
Hello there Kenny. I have a question about your study lists if you don't mind. I noticed they are from anime, so I was wondering if you just gather the words yourself or if there is a place to get the vocabulary for a certain anime somewhere? I hope the question's not too stupid :p
The stage is set. I accept your challenge and let us enjoy each and every twist and turn that it brings. Through all the work - both fun and of course, the slog - may we, and all who strive to be a master of Japanese, succeed in our endeavours. Ganbatte!
Thank you very much. Still a long way to go before one gets to be a true Nihongo Master, but its all about pacing. Omedetou on rising to third and best wishes on your N3 exam.
