How is the particle を pronounced?

So, when you look at any hiragana chart, you see を shared with the w's.  Next to わ(wa).

But the problem is, I hear it pronounced as 'o' when ever it's spoken.

Is this similar to how は(ha) is pronounced as 'wa' when used as a subject marker?

Yes, を would be romanised as 'wo', but the 'w' isn't pronounced.

The を particle sounds like "o" almost always. In some circumstances, some people will actually say "wo" but I haven't figured out the pattern yet. But this is more of a spoken nuance. Until you are in a position to pick it up in speaking, just assume it's always "o"
