Why did you choose learning japanese?

In my case, I really like to learn new languages. I started learning the german (at the internet too), but I began to watch animes, so I changed :P Oh! By the way, 私はブラジル人です... はじめまして! :)

PS.: If I wrote something wrong in english, please correct me... I'm learning the japanese, but I need to improve my english too :P よろしくね。

Know someone who might be able to answer this question?

I'm learning because I want to move to Japan in 10-15 years and be a veterinarian there, which means I need to be fluent in Japanese.

Because I take an extreme liking to anime and manga, and also video games (the imported ones too) and my goal is to be able to watch Japanese anime without subtitles, and read untranslated manga. I think the language is interesting, and it's fun, and I have a goal, soI have no lack of motivation!

I like learning languages as well, and took French (I LOVE Francoise Hardy) for a while at school. However, I listened to some Japanese songs that made me realize how gorgeous the language sounded, so I decided to learn Japanese too. Also, I'm now a big fan of Japanese cinema, and Sion Sono is my favorite director! I would love to watch his movies without subtitles someday :)

I used to like anime and manga some, but I now just read the occasional volume and barely watch anime anymore. As a point of reference, I STILL haven't seen AnoHana, at the behest of every single person I happen to meet.
