What is the meaning of 「したわれて」?

i entered every variation of this string into the dictionary, but nothing comes close to making any sense. I believe it is supposed to mean "loved," but I need to know which words are being used so that I can add them to my study list.

Know someone who might be able to answer this question?

Hi jace75! The issue is searching with the dictionary form of したわれて. I didn't know this word at first but deduced that this is a passive conjugation. Usually, when verbs have -われて, the dictionary version would end with う, which would make したう. With this, it's easier to find. I looked it up and found:慕う 【したう】 (v5u,vt) (1) to yearn for; to long for; to pine for; to miss; to love dearly; to adore; (2) to follow (someone); (3) to idolize (for virtue, learning, status, etc.); (courtesy of jdic.com). Sorry for the lengthy explanation but I really hope this helps. がんばってね!

Darkmedellia did a great job explaining it.  The only additional info I can give is a link to the word in the dictionary:
