じゃない is a casual way of saying ではない.  ではない also is not on a dictionary because it is a plain negative form of  です.  Here's the link to です.

But, first of all, you need to learn the conjugations.  It is important to study in a systematic way.  Here's an example of the conjugation.  げんきな ( energetic: na-adjective, if you don't know what na-adj. is, please read the lesson"Feeling Energetic with な Adjectives" etc.) As you see, じゃない is in the plain negative form present tense.

Plain:

present tense, affirmative: げんきだ

present tense, negative: げんきではない(げんきじゃない)

past tense, affirmative: げんきだった

past tense, negative: げんきではなかった(げんきじゃなかった)

Polite:

present affirmative: げんきです

present negative: げんきではありません(げんきじゃありません)

past affirmative: げんきでした

past negative: げんきではありませんでした(げんきじゃありませんでした)

Hope this helps!
