Why do I keep on losing points each time I answer a drill correctly? Thank you for the information in advance.

From Taylor's answer to a question a couple days ago: "Also, a drill, from now on, can no longer score more than 25 points. This helps keep everything fair."

I don't know your exact circumstances but it probably relates to this and the new Drill Mastery feature. I've noticed the same thing happening to my score as well.

Me too! The last several days, every time I take a quiz of about 100 questions, I end up with a lower total number of points. The total lost over the last several days is several thousand points. I have the Mastery level set at 9. I sure would like to understand how to change this.

Thank you for your answer, Paulie. Now, I understand why I'm losing points. :D

So from what I understand once a drill is 'Mastered' It's worth 25 points regardless of what you scored when you answered it correctly to master it.

I'm guessing you have done the same as me and upped the mastery rate from 5 to a higher number? I assume what's happening is these quetions were worth 25 points but when you answered it for the first time you scored less than 25 points. For examples maybe the bonus was 6 and you answered it with 3 seconds left giving you a total of 18 points. Given it was worth 25 when mastered even though you got it correct you actually lost 7 points in the process. So while your going through and re-answering previously mastered questions you will potentially lose points. Obviously ylu can get these back as you answer these correctly consecutively over time.

My score seems to go down some time after I finish my drills. Now I guess that can be what you described if it takes a while to update my score.

Ah, I see now. Thank you for your answer, Anarchist. I thought my account was messed up. :D

Ok, I've now reset my mastery because I'm left with no additional content and very few items in my Dojo queue. Of course, now I have too many items but what can you do? I guess I'll watch my score go down too.

You can start adding drills from the dictionary to increase your vocabulary? Learn the next JLPT level vocab?

Actually, I started going through the most recently uploaded lessons but that group disappeared during the outage.
