ておく and てある

Asked 4 years ago

I learned that the ておく / でおく group uses the particles を and で, while the てある / である group uses the particles が and に. As I was answering a drill, it said that the answer is "ハンカチをよういしてあるよ。", instead of "ハンカチをよういしておくよ。."  Is this is one exception or an error?  Thank you for the answer in advance.

Know someone who might be able to answer this question?

I think it's a mistake with the coding, I always get this one wrong as well.  Been meaning to e-mail one of the admins about it but I've kept putting it off... Cheers for bringing this up!

I'm 99.9% certain it should be 'ga' instead of 'wo' in the answer, the noun object of the V+te+aru form always takes 'ga' as the marker.

To anyone reading this who knows however, how do you look up drill ID nos. on here?  I've seen people mention it in the past whenever there's a drill with the wrong answer coded as the right one but can't work out how you do it...

I will bring this to the attention of our teacher, as she is the one that sets up the drills.. Will let you know! Can you tell me which lesson that was?

To get the drill ID is not the easiest thing in the world.. however.. a screenshot would work for me.. and if you can get one I can track down in the DB which drillset that's connected to.. as well.. I'll look at putting the Drill ID into the "help" button at the bottom of each Page if you press it during a drill..

I believe I have fixed the issue. Please let me know if you see any other incorrect drills. Screenshots are always helpful as well! Thanks guys!

Thank you so much, Taylor. I was confused for weeks when I saw that particular drill. :D
