"Bo" Hiragana stroke order

Asked 4 years ago

Hello, so I'm on the introductory lesson about handakuten and I noticed that the stroke order for the hiragana for "bo" starts with the dakuten and then goes on to write the rest of the letter. All other letters with dakuten I've seen so far write the original letter first and then the dakuten after, so I was wondering whether this is right and how come it's different for this letter? It especially struck me as odd considering how similar "bo" and "ba" are, yet with "ba" the dakuten is written last.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and help :)

Know someone who might be able to answer this question?

It showed you the wrong way of writing the hiragana "bo." All kana (hiragana and katakana) are always written before adding dakuten/handakuten. I hope I helped you out at least a little bit. :D

We will take a look and absolutely look at correcting the strokes.
