On-Yomi in drills

Asked 4 years ago

Most Kanjis have a lot of On-Yomi-readings. While doing drills I'm always confused by these two: 木(ボク、モク)and 目(モク、ボク).
Is it important to know what reading listed first? Why does 'ボク、モク' not equivalent to 'モク、ボク'?

Know someone who might be able to answer this question?

Hi KusSv san,

In my opinion, I don't think the reading listed first is more important. So you can remember both in any order. On the other hand, dictionaries often show readings in the order of frequency.
