Sound files missing the first parts on their first play?

Has anyone else noticed many of the sound files dropping the first part of the audio when they are first played? This started for me about a week ago. The second time a file is played, it plays in its entirety, but more often than not, the first time through it will skip anywhere from a syllable to several words.

What browser and operating system are you using? Can you also tell us what flash version you are running?

Sorry so late; didn't notice the reply. I'm running Chrome on Mac OS 10.6.8. Flash version is 11.5.31.2

Also, I have run through several lessons using Firefox and Safari and have not been able to replicate the issue in those browsers. Tried Opera too, but the site crashes the browser. I'd guess that that is a problem with Opera, though.

Here's a video of what happens: http://youtu.be/JKIHcf0y8NY. This is just one syllable, but occasionally it skips a whole ジョンさん's worth.

That happens to me sometimes too. I also use Chrome, so maybe it's a Chrome thing.

I have this same problem. I also have the problem of the sound files loading very slowly--especially on drills. Often, the sound file hasn't loaded before the drill timer is already at 1. Then, I still have to (many times) play it twice before I hear the whole audio.
