Definition of 然う,そう

adverb (fukushi)

in that way (concerning the actions of the listener or concerning the ideas expressed or understood by the listener; with a neg. sentence, implies that something isn't as much as one might think)

Examples of 然う,そう in a Sentence

もう私は大人だから、そうは考えない。

Now that I am a grownup, I think otherwise.

「腰は痛む？」「いや、別に」「そう、それは不幸中の幸いね」

Does your back hurt? "No, not really." "Oh, that's something then, isn't it?"

「天気予報では今日は涼しいそうよ」「反対に、暑い気がする」

The weather forecast says it's cool today. "On the contrary I feel hot."

エドワードはキャシーの目をじっと見て本気でそう言っているのか尋ねた。

Edward looked Kathy in the eye and asked her if she really meant what she said.

このような接し方の変化は、他の変化もそうであるが、他の国においても起こっている。
