konnichwa!!!

 

so is "denwa" a synonym for "phone call" ?   if i were to translate the example directly, it sounds like;  please give me a telephone sometime...

Bouba-san, good job! Yes, many native speakers of Japanese pronounce "GA" in two ways (not "all" Japanese speakers). When "GA" is the first sound of a word, it sounds "GA". For example, when you say Gakko (school), it really sounds "GA." But when "GA" is in a word or used as a particle, it tends to sound "nGA"(nasal sound) as you say.

The [が] in [だれかがここにいましたよ] sounds more like "nga" than "ga".
