Great question!  The answer is "Yes" but you need to use どれ(が) instead of どちら because どちら is used only to pick one of two objects.

You're right.  When Japanese people say フットボール, it means American football.  Soccer is サッカー in Japanese.

Does「フットボール」refer to American football, European football (soccer), or something else? I'm guessing it's the first one, but I'd rather not assume.
