You can say "私は___に興味があります" ( I'm interestede in ....)
or "私は___に興味を持っています" ( I have an interest in ...).

なくなって is the te-form of the godan verb なくなる. Thank you for asking! You made me realize that we hadn't introduced this verb;; なくなる means "disappear" or "get lost."
As we learned in the lesson "Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk!," the te-form + しまった is used when you do/did something and it does/did NOT turn out as you or others expect(ed).
