Ruslana san,

In the lesson: Too Many Duties -- くちゃくちゃ,

you learned the expressions: "〜なければなりません/ いけません /なきゃいけません / なくちゃいけません" which mean I need to ... / have to...

So you can say ”べんごしに会わなければなりません” instead of ”べんごしに会わなくてはいけません”.

It's because ”〜なくてはいけません” also means "I need to.../ have to..." but it's slightly more casual.

I am so sorry, but I am totally lost with this sentence べんごしに会わなくてはいけません。

I figured it probably means I need to meet with a lawyer? But then I would normaly say べんごしに合わなければいけません。

So I feel like I just forgot something important from previous lessons and can't recall it. Help me out pls ^^;;

となりのねこ usually means "the cat next door."  In other words, it refers the cat which belongs to the family next door.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I just want to make sure I have understood this sentence correctly.

となりのねこがたべたかも。

Is the girl saying 'the cat probably ate it'

I know となり means next to but i don't know how to translate it in this sentence 'it was probably eaten next to the cat'?
