One year on I have to agree with everything inquis122 has said, this lesson is a complete disaster, I'm really surprised this is still online.
From the formatting (it wasn't till I'd got to the end that I realised the panels were in the wrong order) to not using the kanji so you have to sound everything out (which futher complicates the matter) to the jump in level, the stray 'e' in the bottom left panel even... Was this even edited? After the quality of the intermediate lessons these advanced lessons have just been a complete and utter disaster. You may as well just buy 'Minna no nihongo', it's been that level of non-explanation.

Thanks so much for your input. It is absolutely a bit of a learning curve as we adjust our new instructors to our lesson building. Going forward we will be sure to include in the drill sets any words that haven't been covered before. Also, in reply to your manga comment, I totally agree and our next lesson set (that is hopefully coming out this week) will reflect these changes.
As per the localization, I will ask that instructors be aware of it during translation and to follow our previous model. If you have any other comments or concerns, please keep them coming! We are all trying to get back in the flow and get our new lesson pipeline back to a normal release schedule with the best content possible. Keep up the good work!

Sorry, but a few more things about the new lessons.
There are many new words and kanji that are being used in the lessons that have not been taught before. I am ok with this in terms of advanced learners being ready to interpret things via context, but those new kanji and vocabulary should then be included in the drills. I am finding myself finishing a lesson, adding the drills, and then having to go add 20 more drills to cover the words that were in the lesson but were note explicitly taught or included in the lessons original drill set.
It also seems that there is a different approach to localization with the new teacher, which confuses me a bit. For example, the Japanese Diet is referred to as "Congress" in the translation eventhough the Japanese clearly refer to the organization as a Diet. It seems that previous lessons were more accurate with localizing things. I know this is a new level with new staff involved, so no worries, I just wanted to give my two cents.

Just a suggestion for the future....
Up until now all of the manga have been orientated right to left in terms of panelling, but this one switches that around and goes left to right. My suggestion would be to stick to the preivous format as this is what readers would encounter in an actual Japanese manga.
