Shichiji sounds more like shchiji. The shi blends with the chi.

One extra piece of information for you, Traditionally れい is used in classrooms as part of a traditional etiquette, whereby a student will say きりつ(stand) and then れい (bow) whereby all the students bow to the teacher before their class starts.
