はじめまして! My name is Kari. My interest in Japan began way back in high school were I took 1 year of Japanese. I have mostly been self-studying throughout the years (not very consistently) and I am now ready to (hopefully) become fluent in Japanese!
The culture fascinates me. I want to learn more about their language, culture, and history.
I work in publishing and I would like to learn Japanese to help translate more western books in Japanese and vice versa. I also want to be able to enjoy more books and TV in Japanese as well.
I have always wanted to learn Japanese but I'm terrible at creating a real study habit so I needed something more structured.
I felt like I was up for a challenge and learning a new language at the same time so I figured id go with learning Japanese.
