I love Japanese culture and would love to get closer to people outside the US. I'm an anime/manga influenced illustrator and learning language, in general, is something new to me. So why not start here?

I have been learning japanese to be able to read visual novels, i already know a bit of kanji however i'm lacking in the grammar department.
When I thought of learning a new language, Nihongo was the first thing that came in my head. At first, the reason was because of anime but now that I think about it, nihongo sounds so good in my ears to the point that I also want to speak it.
My ultimate goal is to live and teach in Japan! I have 4 years to learn and I’ve been studying for a couple months now but I’ve also been on and off it.
I have learned Japanese before in few years back. Whereby I able to understand it for simple conversation. Because I rarely use or communicate using the Japanese language, I try to recap it so I won't forget the language that I learned.
