I agree with lesboy22. This lesson was very easy to comprehend and very straight forward. The Nihongo Master team should surely put more of these reading comprehesion sections in their lessons!

Why does the ごご in ごご九時 in the second sentence sound like "go-mo" instead of "go-go"?

Great lesson. The story was an excellent review that showed the consolidation of the previous lessons. As mentioned in another comment, I was happy that I was able to understand 90% of it on my first read through. More lessons like this would be very beneficial. Thanks!

"mada arimasen" is a correct sentence. "mada" here is used as an adverb, so it doesn't conjugate as a na-adjective.

The former means a day off whereas the latter means a holiday like, for example, thanksgiving or christmas eve.
