When I was in Japan recently I picked up on the word せん for thousand. But when I bought something that was ¥3,000 hearing ぜん confused me and I thought I had been hearing it wrong the whole time. This is great and well done marking the exceptions in blue or I might have missed it here as well!

That 'Adding It All Up' section is a perfect example of how convenient Kanji are. Here's how to render it in Kanji: 七万四千四百十一 You can also use a mix of Kanji and Arabic numerals such as 「7万3千5百」 for 73,500.
