We made two new things, and we think you are going to love them.
Most apps are good at putting Japanese into your head. Lessons. Drills. Flashcards. But the best way to learn is to use Japanese yourself. You write it. You say it out loud. You share it with other people.
So we built two new spots where you can do that. Meet Kaiwa Café ☕ and Kaizen Corner 🔧.
☕ Kaiwa Café: chat in real Japanese
Kaiwa Café (会話カフェ) means "conversation café." It is a live chat room for learners. You jump in, type in Japanese, and talk with other people who are learning too.
Here is the fun part. Every message has help built right in. Kanji come with small readings on top, called furigana. Tap or hover any word and you will see how to say it, what it means, and a link to the dictionary. You never have to leave the chat to look something up.
- 🈁 Furigana on every message, so you can read any word.
- 👆 Tap a word to see its meaning and its reading.
- ⚡ It is live, so you can see who is online and chat right now.
- 😄 Emoji and pictures work too.
You can just read at first if you want. The furigana and word meanings help you follow along. Then join in when you feel ready.

🔧 Kaizen Corner: share your Japanese and get help
Writing and speaking can feel scary. You think, "Is this even right?" Kaizen Corner answers that fast, and in a kind way.
The name comes from the word kaizen (改善). It means "always getting a little better." The idea is simple. Small steps. Low pressure. Sharing Japanese that is not perfect is the whole point.
Here is how it works. You write a short bit of Japanese, or you record up to 30 seconds of your voice. You can add a note about what you were trying to say. Then you post it. Two kinds of help come back.
👨🏫 Professor Toshiro answers right away
Professor Toshiro is our teacher. He reads your post the moment you share it. This works for writing and for voice. He is warm and kind, but he also tells you the truth. He will spot a wrong particle, a wrong verb form, or a word that sounds a little off. Then he shows you a better way to say it. For voice posts, he listens to how you really sound.
🗳️ Other learners help too
Anyone can add a fix. And every fix gets votes, even the ones from Professor Toshiro. The best fixes rise to the top. The weaker ones drop down. When you help someone else, you earn points that raise your own level. Helping others helps you grow.
- ✍️ Write it, or 🎙️ say it out loud.
- 🤖 Fast help from the teacher, plus real people, all in one spot.
- ⬆️ Votes pick the best answer.
- 🈂️ Furigana shows up on the fixes too, so they are easy to read.
- 🏷️ Sort posts by level (JLPT N5 up to N1) and by topic (grammar or sound).

Kaizen Corner is part of your Nihongo Master plan.
✨ Two parts of one idea
Kaiwa Café gets you using Japanese with real people. Kaizen Corner helps that Japanese get better over time. Put them together and you get a simple loop.
Use it. Read it. Fix it. Use it again.
That is how you really learn to speak.
🚀 Give them a try
- Jump into Kaiwa Café and say はじめまして to the room.
- Go to Kaizen Corner, post a sentence (or record your voice), and say hello to Professor Toshiro.
We can't wait to see what you write. Mistakes and all. がんばって! 💪
